Position Overview
We are seeking a Process Engineer with a strong industrial or manufacturing engineering background to support and improve production processes within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will focus on optimizing safety, quality, throughput, and cost, with a preference for candidates who have experience working with aluminum processing or aluminum manufacturing operations.
The Process Engineer will work cross-functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support plant performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering methodologies
- Develop and maintain standard work, process documentation, and work instructions
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutions to improve throughput and yield
- Support new product introductions, process changes, and capital projects
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Provide technical support and training to production teams as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 2–7 years of process or manufacturing engineering experience in an industrial environment
- Aluminum processing or aluminum manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
- Experience with time studies, capacity analysis, line balancing, and process optimization
- Ability to analyze data and develop practical, sustainable solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Aluminum extrusion, rolling, casting, or finishing operations
- High-volume or continuous manufacturing environments
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
- ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis tools
- Base salary up to $100,000, commensurate with experience
