Key Qualifications:
J.D./Admitted in local jurisdiction.
5-7 years of transactional and licensing experience at a top law firm focused on representing life science companies.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.
The ideal candidate will:
A biological science, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy and/or business background will be considered favorably.
Have top law firm training with significant experience drafting and negotiating collaboration, licensing, supply, and other complex commercial agreements, including M&A, for life sciences companies.
Bring a strong track record of supporting and leading strategic and M&A transactions.
Be able to advise clients on highly individualized, sophisticated, mission-critical agreements and provide practical, business-minded solutions.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage delicate relationships and high-pressure, fast-paced negotiations effectively.
Have the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
Demonstrate familiarity with and interest in the life sciences industry (particularly biotech and pharmaceutical companies) and the regulatory environment.
Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment, including with colleagues from other functional groups (e.g., M&A, corporate, antitrust, tax).
Have experience mentoring, supervising and training junior attorneys.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range of $365,000 – $420,000, based on year classification.
Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
