Key Qualifications:
- J.D./Admitted in local jurisdiction.
- 5-7 years of transactional and licensing experience at a top law firm focused on representing life science companies.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.
The ideal candidate will:
- A biological science, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy and/or business background will be considered favorably.
- Have top law firm training with significant experience drafting and negotiating collaboration, licensing, supply, and other complex commercial agreements, including M&A, for life sciences companies.
- Bring a strong track record of supporting and leading strategic and M&A transactions.
- Be able to advise clients on highly individualized, sophisticated, mission-critical agreements and provide practical, business-minded solutions.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage delicate relationships and high-pressure, fast-paced negotiations effectively.
- Have the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
- Demonstrate familiarity with and interest in the life sciences industry (particularly biotech and pharmaceutical companies) and the regulatory environment.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment, including with colleagues from other functional groups (e.g., M&A, corporate, antitrust, tax).
- Have experience mentoring, supervising and training junior attorneys.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range of $365,000 – $420,000, based on year classification.
- Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
