What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations & IT Support Assistant position at Wilmington College?
Basic Function:
Provides administrative support to the current Director of Operations Service Center and Information Technology. Assists with all internal and external campus events including communicating with clients to assist with scheduled events and resources, and event preparation/setups. Assists in all aspects of the Service Center including the Help Desk, Conference Services and student employees. Provides internal and external customer support.
Specifics Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors Help Desk activity along with and in the absence of Director
- Serves as a back-up for Director with ticketing and scheduling platforms
- Communicates with Director and department to provide general administrative support including requisition entry, reports, and various document creation and editing
- Assist with physical set-up of tables, chairs, and other resources for campus needs
- Organize and inventory of event resources
- Attend campus events outside normal business hours as required
- Other duties as required
Skills Required:
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Able to safely lift 35 lbs and move loaded equipment carts
- Effective decision-making ability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and the willingness to learn other software as needed
- Flexibility with changing schedules and situations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Customer service experience 2 years
- Management experience
