What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct-Online Writing II position at Wilmington College?
Wilmington College Online seeks a qualified instructor to teach EN101 Writing II as an online asynchronous course in our online undergraduate program in the spring 2026 semester.
EN101 Writing II (4 semester hours)
This course extends students’ understanding of the expectations of college-level expository writing. It emphasizes critical analysis, argument, and research. Students are placed into ENG 101 based on ACT scores and high school performance. Does not count toward an English major or minor.
Session Dates: January 12 – May 7, 2026
Please note the degree requirement. If hired, an official transcript with the highest degree listed on it is required. Wilmington College conducts background investigations including criminal, work history and credential confirmation on all employees. Must be able to provide documentation for proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a Master’s degree or at least 18 graduate credit hours in the field of instruction and have experience in teaching online.
