POSITION: TrainND NW Facilities Maintenance Trainer

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:
Full time, 12-month, exempt, benefitted position.

JOB SUMMARY:
Applications are being accepted for the TrainND NW Facilities Maintenance Trainer for the workforce training division at Williston State College. The Facilities Maintenance Trainer at TrainND NW is responsible for delivering high-quality workforce training in industrial and commercial maintenance, while supporting the development of training programs aligned with regional employer needs. This position combines hands-on instruction, employer engagement, and program development to prepare students and incumbent workers for careers in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, hydaulics, pneumatics and related fields. This is a full-time position with benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instruction

    • Ensure training emphasizes industry-recognized competencies and certifications.
    • Deliver hands-on training in industrial and commercial maintenance topics, including areas such as HVAC, automation, and mechanical systems.
    • Provide instruction for entry-level students and incumbent workers seeking upskilling opportunities.

  • Curriculum Development & Program Implementation

    • Identify course-level proficiencies and competencies that are measurable and lead to credential attainment.
    • Support alignment of training programs with regional workforce initiatives and economic development opportunities.

  • Industry/Community Collaboration
    • Engage directly with regional employers to identify training needs and workforce skill gaps.
    • Work with regional industry partners, including sectors such as HVAC, energy, and facility operations, to ensure training relevance.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: High School Diploma 3 years of salient work experience. Certifications in one of the areas; HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Hydraulics.


SALARY:
$65,000-$75,000 based on experience plus excellent benefit package.
