What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Willis Knighton Health?
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed medical assistant that can work at all 5 campuses. This position will be a full-time floating position. These clinics include Endocrinology, Pediatric, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Ob/Gyn and Hematology/ Oncology. We need a person that is dependable with strong work ethics. Good communication and computer skills are required.
Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to: assessment of patients utilizing verbal and technical skills, triaging patients. The MA will assist in medication management, including vaccine management, administering routine medications, medication reconciliation and medication storage. They will perform EKG, breathing treatments, and assist in clinical procedures. The MA will work with insurance companies in completing referrals and on pre-authorization for lab, X-ray, procedures and surgeries. They will assist in scheduling tests and procedures.
The clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
