Position Summary
The Associate Attorney will handle transactional matters related to real estate and business law for a diverse client base, including commercial real estate companies, nonprofits, hospitality clients, businesses, and local governments across Georgia.
Daily responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting contracts and ancillary transaction documents, conducting due diligence, reviewing title, and supporting clients through various stages of real estate and business transactions.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Decatur, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of real estate and business transactions, including conducting legal research, drafting contracts and secondary transaction documents, conducting due diligence, and reviewing title
- Facilitate and participate in all phases of real estate and business transactions from letter of intent to closing
- Independently review transactional documents and provide legal analysis and recommendations
- Manage transactions from initial intake through closing and/or final agreement execution
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships
- Draft and analyze contracts, loan documents, leases, share transfer agreements, sale agreements, and secondary transaction documents
- Perform due diligence for risks, liabilities, and legal issues related to real estate and business transactions
- Represent clients in discussions to secure favorable terms and conditions
- Assist with client understanding of legal structures and entity formation
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of Georgia in good standing
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills with a proactive approach
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong commitment to client service and a passion for helping clients
- One to three (1-3) years of transactional real estate/business experience preferred
