Wilkes University invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor of Nursing Tenure Track position in the Passan School of Nursing (PSON) graduate program. The PSON provides comprehensive programming which has expanded professional opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Both the undergraduate and graduate programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
This hybrid position is for the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. The candidate will report to the Chair of graduate nursing and serve as the Coordinator of the FNP program. The successful candidate is primarily responsible for didactic and clinical teaching, advising, scholarship, and service both university and community. This full-time position requires a doctoral degree in nursing (DNP or PhD), unencumbered RN and CRNP licensure in PA, national board certification in FNP, a minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical practice as an FNP, and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a graduate nursing program with distance education preferred.
The ideal candidate must have an active clinical practice to meet the requirements of the PA State Board of Nursing for NP faculty. Candidates currently enrolled in a doctorate program may be considered based upon their education completed and experience in the role and population of an FNP.
