Nursing Coordinator (Training Specialist)
Salary Range $75,000 - $91,100 plus an Elite Benefit Package

Provide Medication Administration Training per OPWDD curriculum to new staff Teach Nursing Triage during both the new employee orientation and recertification medication classes. Required Education/Experience
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, and regulatory readiness activities.
- BA/BS in nursing preferred; 3 years training experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Clinical Care & Monitoring: Chronic/acute illness management (diabetes, seizures), vital signs, catheters, MIPS, and body check documentation.
- Hygiene & Personal Care: Incontinence, menses, oral health, targeted cleaning, skin breakdown prevention, Safe Patient Handling, informed consent, and aging considerations.
- Develop or update materials as necessary.
- Collaborate with with Strategic Director of Organizational Development on new employee training.
Other Requirements:
- A valid NYS license and clean driving record required
