Working at Wild Birds Unlimited-Lisle will be unlike anything you have ever done workwise. Ours is a hobby store devoted to helping our customers attract birds & all forms of wildlife to their yards and gardens. To that end we are customer advocates. Our goal is NOT to sell people a bunch of stuff, but to direct customers too best practices that meet their bird, & wildlife attracting objectives. Professional personal service has been our hallmark since we opened in 1988.
To that end, we are seeking Part Time bird nerds who are interested in learning about backyard bird feeding, and in turn, passing that knowledge onto our wonderful customers in our busy store. Ideally one should have retail, service & basic computer skills. We will provide training to ensure your confident in guiding customers in all facets of backyard bird feeding & bird watching and have all the necessary product knowledge at hand.
Requirements:
- Previous retail experience preferred, NOT required, BUT a love of birds & Nature is!
- Ability to lift & carry up to 50 lbs. as we load all purchases for our customers.
- We love bright smiles, quick minds, & people with a "can do" attitude, who value a flexible schedule, & have the ability to work some weekends.
- Our goal is to provide quality products, service, expertise in an engaging high energy shopping experience.
