Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC system problems involving refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, plumbing, welding, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform repairs efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with all work performed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC system repair and installation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems.
- Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles as well as building automation systems.
- Experience with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, plumbing, welding, and appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus.
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems repair including boilers and other heating equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills paired with strong customer service abilities to communicate effectively with clients and team members alike.
