What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant position at Wide Effect?
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain project financials within ERP system, coordinating with Project Managers
- Process client invoices, track receivables, and manage vendor payments
- Issue and track change orders for clients and subcontractors
- Perform project reconciliations and financial reporting
- Assist with work-in-progress (WIP) reporting and job cost tracking
- Record journal entries and ensure accuracy of project financials
- Set up and verify new vendors
- Support internal accounting functions and assist with special projects
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting required (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 5 years of construction accounting experience (AP/AR required)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and compliance
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Analytical, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
