Position Summary
The Clinic Manager will not participate in faculty affairs, including faculty meetings, faculty governance activities, or standing faculty committees, unless specifically requested by the Program Chair for programmatic purposes.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee operations of the MFTC including client intake processes, scheduling systems, and clinic workflow.
- Maintain clinic policies, procedures, and operational documentation.
- Support compliance with accreditation standards established by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education.
- Ensure clinical services align with ethical standards of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and relevant state licensing requirements.
- Maintain client confidentiality and clinical documentation practices consistent with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Monitor clinic risk management practices including crisis response procedures, mandated reporting protocols, and documentation standards.
- Assist faculty supervisors in maintaining a safe and effective training environment for student clinicians.
- Coordinate student clinician schedules within the clinic.
- Monitor student caseload assignments to ensure appropriate distribution of clients.
- Assist in orienting new student clinicians to clinic procedures, documentation standards, and professional expectations.
- Track clinical hours and documentation required for program completion and licensure requirements.
- Coordinate with faculty supervisors regarding clinic logistics and student clinical activity.
- Support supervision technologies including session recording systems used for clinical training.
- Coordinate client intake, screening, and assignment to student clinicians.
- Manage client scheduling and clinic waitlists.
- Respond to client concerns and assist in resolving service issues in consultation with supervising faculty.
- Maintain referral relationships with community providers when clients require services beyond the scope of the training clinic.
- Assist with outreach efforts that increase awareness of the MFTC as a community resource.
- Maintain clinic operational records and documentation systems.
- Assist with data collection used for program evaluation and accreditation reporting.
- Support preparation of materials for accreditation review by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education.
- Coordinate with the Program Director regarding clinic operations, student needs, and program initiatives.
- Monitor quality of external clinical placements when students are assigned to community sites.
- Participation in program meetings or planning discussions.
- Support for special projects or program initiatives.
- Assistance with clinic events, outreach activities, or program development.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Qualifications and Core Competencies
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
- Valid LMFT or LCSW.
- Experience in managing a clinic, preferably in an MFT setting.
- A personal commitment to the Christian faith and to the integration of faith and learning.
- A commitment to the educational mission of Whitworth as a Christian liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian church.
- Familiarity with electronic health record keeping
- Demonstrated knowledge of and successful experience working within university graduate programs.

Part-time (.50 FTE) | 12 months | 20 hours per week
Supervising the clinic Monday - Thursday from 3 PM to 8 PM.
