The Opportunity:
Whittier Street Health Center is seeking an OB/GYN Physician to join our team in an outpatient, gynecology-focused role serving a diverse and underserved patient population. This position does not include obstetrical deliveries and includes approximately 80% direct patient care and 20% administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient gynecologic and reproductive healthcare services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat medical conditions related to women’s and reproductive health
- Perform preventive screenings, contraceptive counseling, family planning services, and routine gynecologic care
- Refer patients to appropriate specialists or hospital-based services to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care
- Deliver care aligned with principles of health equity, preventive medicine, reproductive health access, and chronic disease management
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners, medical assistants, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure coordinated, culturally responsive, team-based care
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited School of Medicine
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Massachusetts, or ability to obtain licensure within an acceptable timeframe
- Active DEA registration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience providing outpatient gynecologic and reproductive healthcare services
- Commitment to serving diverse, underserved, and culturally diverse patient populations
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
