Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatment and provide comfort throughout their visit
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, including four-handed dentistry
- Sterilize instruments, set up/clean workstations, and maintain supplies
- Take and process radiographs
- Mix and prepare dental materials (amalgams, cements, impressions, etc.)
- Record exam findings and treatment procedures in patient charts
- Support patient scheduling, recalls, and insurance processing
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- High school diploma or higher
- Completion of a dental assisting training program or minimum 1 year of experience
- Active Massachusetts Dental Assistant License
- Massachusetts Radiology Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Strong chairside assistance skills and familiarity with dental terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dental charting systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population and team
