The Opportunity:

Whittier Street Health Center is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy and patient-centered education to support the prevention and management of chronic diseases. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team while advancing our mission to deliver equitable, high-quality care to Boston’s diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring
• Conduct individualized nutrition assessments (dietary intake, labs, anthropometrics, social factors)
• Develop and implement care plans for chronic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease
• Deliver one-on-one counseling and facilitate group education sessions
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to support coordinated patient care
• Develop culturally appropriate nutrition education and outreach programs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community health programming

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
• Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Current Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
• 1–3 years of clinical nutrition experience (community health or outpatient preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and chronic disease management
• Experience with Nutrition Care Process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring)
• Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams
