We are seeking a dependable, highly motivated, and service-oriented individual to join our Building Operations Team. The Building Operations and Safety Technician supports the day-to-day operation of the campus by performing light maintenance, preventive maintenance, building monitoring, routine rounds, and resident and team member support.
This position is well suited for someone with experience in entry-level maintenance, hospitality, customer service, or another hands-on environment. The successful candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, enjoys solving basic problems, and understands the importance of communicating and escalating issues when additional assistance is needed.
The successful candidate will be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently while demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and follow-through. The candidate will interact professionally and respectfully with older adults, families, visitors, and team members and have a basic knowledge of maintenance skills or a willingness to learn. Comfort using computers and tablets for communication, documentation, and data entry is expected. The successful candidate will be adaptable, able to prioritize changing needs in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, and willing to learn Whitney Center’s building systems, emergency procedures, and equipment.
