What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Operations Lead position at Diversified Building Services?
DBS is a family-owned Connecticut company providing sanitation services to food processing plants. We're known for consistent service, fast issue resolution, and investing in our team.
We're hiring a Sanitation Operations Lead based out of our Wallingford, CT headquarters, covering food processing accounts across the surrounding area. This is a hands-on, on-site role - you'll be working overnight at client plants, not in an office.
Must Have:
- 2 years sanitation experience in a food processing plant (restaurant/cafeteria experience does not qualify)
- Bilingual - Spanish and English
- Knowledge of the 7 steps of sanitation
- Experience passing Pre-Op inspections
- Able to properly dilute and test sanitation chemicals before use
- Available nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation to travel between accounts as needed
What You'll Do:
- Lead overnight sanitation and ensure the plant is Pre-Op ready and handed off to production on time
- Implement customer SSOPs and complete the Master Sanitation Schedule
- Complete daily customer, USDA, and FDA documentation
- Train, schedule, and coach sanitation staff
- Manage sanitation chemical and supply inventory
- Attend weekly sanitation review meetings with the customer and DBS management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
