Job Title: Human Resources Director
Location: East Hampton
Reports To: Vice President
Job Summary: Human Resources will assist with various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll responsibilities, and staff training. This role also ensures adherence to safety policies, compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including employment laws, and fosters a culture of safety and risk mitigation across all operations.The ideal candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills and be eager to support the HR department in its daily operations.

Key Responsibilities: Human Resources -Assist in recruitment and hiring processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Manage the onboarding process, including preparing new hire paperwork ( including employee packets, I-9) and conducting orientation sessions.
Support benefits administration, including employee inquiries regarding benefits, open enrollment, and leave management (health insurance, dental insurance, open enrollment periods, PTO & Sick leave, 401k)
Manage Company handbook to match laws, regulations, and Company policy changes. At least 1x annually. Assist in managing timesheet collection and monitoring.
Insurance open enrollment.
Compliance & certification renewal calendar, PTO calendar.
Handle employee relations issues and assist with conflict resolution, as needed.
Manage employee accident, injury, and disciplinary record keeping.
Work closely with insurers to address employee concerns and project needs.
Subcontractor insurance forms- annual renewals and new subs.
Maintain Company drivers list for insurance.
Distribution of the General Liability and Certificate of Insurance to clients.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
Assist in organizing training and certifications, and development programs for employees.
Utilize payroll system and insurance support portals (Epic Risk Management Center).
Assist in the direct training of managers, supervisors and any staff members who manage 1 employees.
Bilingual a plus but not required.
Working Conditions: Full-time in person position.
