Position Summary
We are seeking a part-time Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and passionate about hospitality, coffee, and food. This role is hands-on, with responsibilities across both beverage and food service, ensuring guests receive a high-quality, consistent experience during weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities Coffee & Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other café beverages.
- Maintain knowledge of coffee recipes, preparation techniques, and café standards.
Food Service
- Prepare and serve café food items (breakfast, lunch, baked goods, grab-and-go).
- Assist with prep, plating, and kitchen support as needed.
- Ensure consistency and presentation standards for all food and beverage items.
Guest Service & Operations
- Provide welcoming, attentive service to all guests.
- Accurately handle POS transactions and cash handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized café space, including bar, food service areas, and dining space.
- Assist with opening, closing, and sidework responsibilities as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Prior barista or café/food service experience preferred, but training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
