Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to family-owned businesses and high-net-worth clients.
- Maintain deep involvement with Forms 1040 and 1041, along with related individual, trust, and estate tax matters.
- Review work prepared by staff and provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
- Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on tax and business matters.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and proactively communicate recommendations to clients.
- Help oversee workflow, deadlines, and quality standards across engagements.
- Collaborate closely with partners and other members of the firm.
- Participate in business development, networking, and community engagement as appropriate.
- Contribute to the continued development of the firm's people, processes, and client service capabilities.
Qualifications
- 7 years of public accounting experience with a CPA firm.
- Current experience at a supervisory, manager level.
- Background with a mid-size, larger regional, or similarly sophisticated CPA firm strongly preferred.
- Strong technical tax knowledge, particularly involving:
- Individual taxation — Form 1040
- Trust and estate taxation — Form 1041
- Family-owned and closely held businesses
- High-net-worth individuals and families
- Demonstrated experience reviewing tax returns and supervising or mentoring accounting professionals.
- Strong client relationship and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with partners and team members.
- Leadership mindset with a clear interest in continued professional and career advancement.
- CPA license preferred.
Salary : $160,000
