Snow & Equipment Operator
Whitetail Landscaping & Snow Removal is hiring dependable Snow & Equipment Operators for seasonal snow and ice service throughout the Pittsburgh area. This is an event-based winter role for people who can respond reliably during snow and ice conditions, operate equipment safely, and help keep customer properties accessible.
Pay: $20–$40 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, event-based
Duration: Seasonal, estimated November 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Work setting: On-site, field-based, and weather dependent
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly for scheduled and weather-triggered snow and ice events
- Operate approved snow-removal equipment safely and responsibly
- Plow, shovel, clear walkways, and apply deicing materials as assigned
- Follow route plans, property instructions, and crew-leader direction
- Inspect equipment, report damage or mechanical concerns, and protect customer property
- Document completed service and communicate changing site conditions
- Work effectively during overnight, early-morning, weekend, and holiday events when required
Qualifications
- Dependable availability during winter weather events
- Snow-removal, plowing, equipment, landscaping, construction, or property-care experience
- Safety-first decision making and strong situational awareness
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in cold and changing conditions
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities
- CDL or additional equipment experience is a plus
- Reliable transportation and communication during weather events
