WCS Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join an Internal Medicine practice in Commack, NY, affiliated with a leading hospital in the area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supporting physicians and clinical staff, and ensuring a positive patient experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Position Overview- Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Location: Commack, NY — Suffolk County
- Practice Type: Internal Medicine
- Reports To: Practice Manager / Supervising Clinical Staff
- Employment Type: Full-time (Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication information
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed
- Perform EKGs, specimen collection, and other clinical duties
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to support patient care
- Active LPN license in good standing
- 1 year of outpatient, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine experience preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- EMR experience required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- BLS certification preferred
