Role Overview- Lead strategic planning and operational management of the Gastroenterology service line
- Drive program growth, market expansion, and business development initiatives
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and revenue optimization
- Partner with physicians, nursing leaders, and executives to achieve clinical and operational goals
- Improve patient access, quality outcomes, and service line performance metrics
- Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness
- Manage staff, resources, and service line initiatives to support organizational objectives
- Foster collaboration across hospital departments and community partners
- Direct the overall operations, growth, and strategic direction of the Gastroenterology service line
- Develop and implement strategic business plans, performance goals, and growth initiatives
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, productivity, revenue, and expense management
- Partner with physician and nursing leadership to improve quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency
- Drive business development, marketing initiatives, and community outreach efforts
- Monitor and improve service line KPIs, operational metrics, and patient access
- Lead program development and expansion of specialized GI services
- Oversee staffing, recruitment, employee development, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on organizational initiatives and performance improvement projects
- Build relationships with referring physicians, community organizations, and healthcare partners
- Support information systems, operational workflows, and process improvement initiatives
- Master's degree required (MBA, MHA, MSN, or related healthcare/business field)
- 5-7 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, practice management, or hospital administration
- Experience within Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, procedural services, or a related specialty preferred
- Strong background in operational management, staffing, and financial oversight
- Experience with strategic planning, program development, and service line growth
- Demonstrated success partnering with physicians and clinical leadership
- Experience managing budgets, productivity, and revenue performance
- Knowledge of quality improvement, accreditation, and regulatory compliance requirements
