Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care Community Health

Nurse Practitioner needed for a health center opening with a large community health organization in Suffolk County Long Island. Employed position with competitive compensation plan and benefits (health, dental, vision, disability), retirement plan, expenses for license/dues/CME, a generous PTO plan, paid medical malpractice including tail coverage.

Job Function

• Work in 100% outpatient clinic alongside one other provider and support staff
• Hours Monday-Fri 8am-5pm with no late nights or weekends
• Focus solely on primary care for the adult population (no pediatrics or women's health)
• Call is managed via phone only - schedule is rotated
• Goal is to treat 22-25 patients per day but this is impacted by no-show rate, may only be 15-20
• Site is lean and provider must be comfortable working indepedently
• Organization is full scope FQHC with primary care, dental, behavioral health and social work services
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• NY State license, DEA, CSR (active or applied preferred).
• Training as a Nurse Practitioner (Family or Adult).
• Ideally seeking 5 years experience as an NP.
