Whitecap Search is seeking a skilled and proactive professional to join our team. This role involves working with cutting-edge network technologies and cloud environments, ensuring robust and secure network operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with a focus on both traditional and cloud-based infrastructures.
Responsibilities:- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Support day-to-day network operations including incident resolution, change management, and performance monitoring.
- Assist in the design and implementation of network architecture improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and security.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or failures.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
- Participate in on-call to support critical network infrastructure.
- Support integration of on-premises network infrastructure with GCP and/or AWS cloud environments.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of cloud VPN tunnels and hybrid connectivity.
- Collaborate with cloud teams to ensure proper VPC networking, security groups, and routing configurations.
- Gain exposure to cloud-native networking tools such as AWS VPC, CloudWatch, and GCP Cloud Networking.
- Experience with network devices such as Catalyst switches, ISR routers, Meraki, and DNA Center.
- Knowledge of protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, ACLs, and VPN.
- Proficiency in network monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG) and tools like Wireshark.
- CLI-based troubleshooting and basic scripting knowledge (Python or PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow preferred) for ticket management.
- Cisco CIEE Certification.
- Exposure to GCP or AWS Networking (VPC, VPN, routing).
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
- Experience with network automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and change management.
