Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to evaluate endocrine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with endocrine disorders, prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with HIPAA regulations and state laws.
- Manage complex cases involving diabetes management, including insulin pump therapy, IV infusion protocols, and glucose monitoring.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties using EMR/EHR systems like Epic to ensure accurate medical documentation and seamless care coordination.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and disease management strategies to promote long-term health.
Experience
- Proven experience working with patients in endocrinology or related fields such as internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or critical care environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and order entry.
- Hands-on experience performing procedures like suturing, catheterization, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and sterile technique.
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and understanding of ICD-10 coding standards for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Prior involvement in telehealth services or outpatient clinics delivering remote patient consultations.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology pertinent to endocrine disorders; ability to interpret diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory results and sonography reports.
- Experience working within collaborative practice agreements under supervision of licensed physicians; ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
