Job Function
- Oversees the MDS and health information teams, ensuring assessments, documentation, and data reporting are accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements and payment models.
- Partners with clinical and operational leadership to use data and documentation to improve care quality, optimize reimbursement, and support performance improvement initiatives
- Drives education, auditing, and process improvement efforts to keep the organization current with regulatory changes and best practices
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- NYS RN license required
- 3 years of MDS and reimbursement experience in a skilled nursing facility setting, including 2 years of leadership experience
- Completion of NYS PRI assessor program or RAC-CT preferred
- Knowledge of Federal and State regulations, NYS nursing standards and Medicare & Medicaid regulations required
