Assistant Controller - Energy Infrastructure

Our client, clean energy provider, is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team in Manhattan, NY. Job Function

• Provide the proper guidance and management to the Accounting team.
• Directly oversee AP, AR, Financial Reporting, and other key functions.
• Work closely with both the CFO and VP of Finance to establish and oversee key internal controls in accordance within SOX.
• Closely monitor financial statements and disclosures to ensure they are in accordance with US GAAP and in compliance with SEC accounting regulations.
• Suggest new software systems and processes as necessary, and improve incumbent systems and processes as needed.
• Maintain a strong relationship with the outside CPA firm.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and controllership roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance is required.
• Experience working for a publicly owned company is essential.
