What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Tech - PRN - Diagnostic Imaging position at White Mountain Regional Medical Center?
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist is a clinical position that provides diagnostic patient care services using MRI and related diagnostic procedures. The MRI Technologist is responsible for the independent operation of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using computerized MRI scanners. The technologist is also responsible for daily operations of the MRI laboratory, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment. Through collaboration with all member of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC. Under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the MRI Technologist exercises independent judgement in applying professional knowledge required to plan, prioritize and organize responsibilities in support of the clinical department.
This position is safety sensitive and subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Required Education
Completion of an accredited Radiology program
Required Experience/Knowledge
Three (3) years’ experience in MRI
Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment
Required Licensees & Certifications
Current ARRT license in good standing
BLS within 30 days of hire
