Corporate (LatAm) Associate [Junior + Mid-Level] @ Leading Startup Platform

Whistler Partners is partnering with a market-leading Corporate Latin America practice looking to add junior and mid-level associates in either the Bay Area or New York, with a strong preference for the Bay Area at the junior level.

The group advises entrepreneurs, technology companies, emerging companies, venture capital funds, private equity investors, and investment funds on sophisticated Latin America and U.S. transactions. The work spans venture capital financings, growth equity and private equity investments, M&A, public offerings, and broader general corporate matters across Spanish-speaking Latin American markets and the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise emerging companies, founders, entrepreneurs, venture capital funds, private equity investors, and investment funds on corporate transactions.
• Handle venture capital financings, growth equity and private equity investments, M&A, public offerings, and other strategic transactions.
• Work on sophisticated Latin America and U.S. matters across technology, startup, and investor-side transactions.
• Support general corporate matters for emerging companies and investment funds.
• Work directly with clients and senior attorneys on active, high-profile cross-border matters.

Top Requirements

• Junior or mid-level corporate associate.
• JD class years of 2024–2025 or 2020–2021 preferred, or LLM degree.
• Experience with emerging companies, venture capital financings, M&A, private equity, investment funds, or general corporate matters.
• Prior large law firm corporate transactional experience preferred for mid-level candidates.
• Experience advising on Latin American transactions or prior work experience in Latin America strongly preferred.
• Fluency or strong working proficiency in Spanish required.
• Admission to the California and/or New York Bar required.

Compensation

• Junior associate salary range: $225,000–$235,000.
• Mid-level associate salary range: $365,000–$390,000.
