Key Responsibilities
- Advise companies on U.S. federal and state privacy laws.
- Support privacy and product counseling matters for technology-driven clients.
- Help develop internal data protection programs and privacy compliance frameworks.
- Conduct privacy assessments, build data maps, and perform data protection impact assessments.
- Draft privacy policies and negotiate data processing agreements.
- Advise on high-risk and emerging privacy issues involving AI, adtech, health data, biometric data, and kids and teen data.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams on privacy strategy, risk assessment, and practical compliance solutions.
About You
- 4–8 years of relevant technology transactions, privacy, product counseling, or data protection experience preferred.
- Experience advising companies on U.S. federal and state privacy laws required.
- Experience with internal data protection programs, privacy assessments, data maps, DPIAs, privacy policies, or DPAs strongly preferred.
- Interest in cutting-edge privacy issues, including AI, adtech, health data, biometric data, and kids and teen data.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Prior peer law firm experience is a plus.
- Excellent drafting, counseling, analytical, and communication skills.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, client-service-oriented environment.
