Rental Service Manager

The Rental Service Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of rental equipment services. This position is responsible for managing accommodation machines, optimizing throughput, controlling maintenance and repair (M&R) costs, and driving continuous improvement (CI) initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with deep experience in both rental operations and equipment service, particularly with Caterpillar, JLG, Genie, Multiquip, and Freightliner machines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce a safety-first culture across all rental service operations.
• Coordinate with service and rental teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
• Monitor and manage maintenance and repair costs to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop rental service teams to foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across rental service operations.
• Manage all aspects of accommodation machines, including scheduling, service coordination, and customer support.
• Work closely with sales, service, and transportation departments to support machine sales, modifications, and installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in rental operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment service, with a strong focus on Caterpillar, JLG, Genie, Multiquip, and Freightliner machines.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel systems, and machine operation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems and service management software.
• Must have and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Occasional travel to branch locations and customer sites may be required.
