What You’ll Do
As a Routing Dispatcher, you’ll be the central hub of communication between drivers, customers, and operations. Your role ensures every ride is dispatched smoothly and efficiently, helping us provide the safe, reliable service zTrip is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Rides: Assign drivers to ride requests and ensure on-time pickups and drop-offs
- Monitor the Fleet: Track vehicle locations and statuses to improve route efficiency and reduce wait times
- Communicate with Drivers: Provide real-time support, route updates, and instructions throughout each shift
- Handle Customer Inquiries: Address questions, complaints, or ride requests professionally and promptly
- Manage Schedules: Organize driver shifts and ensure proper staffing during peak periods
- Optimize Routes: Minimize travel time and fuel consumption through smart route planning
- Problem-Solve on the Fly: Respond quickly to issues like traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or unexpected challenges
- Maintain Records: Log ride details, driver performance, and any incidents for reporting and billing purposes
What We’re Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education in logistics or dispatch is a plus
- Experience: Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, or customer service preferred
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members
- Problem-Solving: Ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve unexpected issues quickly
- Organization: Excellent multitasking and time management skills
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using dispatch software, GPS tracking tools, and standard office applications
