What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat & Jet Ski Rental Attendant - Work on Lake Norman position at What's Up Watersports - Lake Norman?
What’s Up Watersports is currently seeking qualified Rental Attendants for the 2023 lake season (roughly late March-mid-October). Will hire for any block of time within those months; for example, Late May-August.
As a Rental Attendant, specific duties include but aren’t limited to: providing excellent customer service; greeting customers and launching rental parties on boats, jet skis, paddle boards, and kayaks; helping customers dock boats and jet skis; checking rental equipment in and out; clearly communicating company and Lake Norman rules and regulations to customers; cleaning rental equipment; teaching inexperienced customers how-tos and safety; driving rental equipment; delivering rental equipment to lakeside homes; effectively communicating with management team.
As this job is mainly outdoors, this is a perfect job for anyone looking to make money and enjoy the beauty of Lake Norman. Great summer/weekend job for high school and college students--or anyone with a love for being on the water!

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be super outgoing and comfortable talking to large groups of people.
- Must be able to swim.
- Must be 16 years of age plus.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds over your head.
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess:
- Prior boating experience.
- Prior kayaking and paddle boarding experience.
Work Schedule: Weekends and summer holidays are required. Weekdays based on schedule and demand.
