Role Description
This full-time on-site role as a Licensed Captain is located in Lake Norman of Catawba, NC. The Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, including navigating waterways, conducting pre- and post-cruise inspections, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Additional responsibilities include supervising crew members, providing exceptional service to guests, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the boat for charter operations. The role requires strong communication skills to engage with both customers and staff. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid USCG Captain's License. (25-ton Master's Captain License)
- Extensive experience in operating vessels and understanding of navigational systems.
- Strong leadership skills, including crew supervision and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to perform routine vessel maintenance and inspections.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to varying schedules.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in hospitality and event management is an advantage.
