Overview:
We are seeking a Human Resources Temp to successfully carry out the administrative support function of HR. They will work collaboratively with the VP of HR to support the department's goals and business objectives.
This candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in their work, and effectively communicates with team members at all levels across the organization. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about the HR function and is looking to grow professionally in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage personnel files to ensure compliance and to make sure they are up to date with necessary documents
- Submit and follow up on new hire background checks
- Assist with facilities requests as needed (catering, lunches, reception duties)
- Ensure new hire paperwork is complete
- Schedule new hire orientations
- Assist with the recruiting function (sourcing candidates and creating job postings)
- Schedule in-person interviews
- Assist with payroll
- Assist in organizing project initiatives such as open enrollment
- Assist in organizing company events and employee activities as needed
- Manage or assist in ad-hoc projects, both independently and within a team
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or a related field
- Prior experience supporting HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, or HRIS management preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS systems
- Basic understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment laws
- Experience maintaining HR documentation and personnel files
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
