3rd Shift Process Technician

Position Summary:The 3rd Shift Process Technician is responsible for setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role often involves working with injection molding machines, presses, and auxiliary equipment, maintaining process documentation, and collaborating with other team members to resolve issues.Key Responsibilities:Machine Setup & Start-Up:Prepare and start machines according to production schedules.Install molds and auxiliary equipment, ensuring proper alignment and secure installation.Process Monitoring & Adjustment:Perform daily checks on process parameters and machine conditions.Adjust settings to maintain cycle times and product quality.Respond to alarms and troubleshoot issues promptly.Quality Assurance:Verify first-piece approval and monitor production for defects.Document any process changes and follow escalation procedures.Maintenance & Safety:Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).Collaboration & Communication:Work closely with mold setters, material handlers, and quality teams.Communicate deviations, corrective actions, and improvement suggestions to supervisors.Required Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.2–3 years of experience in plastics processing or similar manufacturing environment.Knowledge of injection molding processes, mold changes, and troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret process sheets and technical documentation.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Basic computer skills for data entry and process tracking.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing environment.Benefits (Typical):Competitive hourly pay (often $25–$40/hr depending on experience).Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company match.Paid time off and holiday pay.Company DescriptionAward-winning company with a great reputation, clean and well managed.
