Paraeducator - Classroom Assistant - Early Childhood Program

We are seeking a well-versed and collaborative Paraeducator/Classroom Assistant to join our early childhood program serving children ages 3–5. The ideal candidate is passionate about early learning, enjoys working with young children, and contributes positively to a team-oriented, supportive classroom environment. As a valued member of our faculty, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. You will help implement daily classroom activities, support student learning, and foster social-emotional growth. The position is 3.5 hours/day (Mon-Fri). Qualifications:

• Experience working with children ages 3–5 in an early childhood or preschool setting
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Responsive Classroom techniques and philosophy
• Associate’s degree preferred, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment/approved training program
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting young learners

Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily classroom instruction and activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement curriculum and classroom routines
• Encourage independence, curiosity, and positive behavior in students
