Core duties
- Hospitality: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and answer questions about the menu.
- Beverage preparation: Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages according to recipes and customer specifications, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Food preparation: Prepare and serve food items such as pastries or sandwiches.
- Point of sale (POS) operations: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Cleaning and maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitizing equipment, counters, and seating areas
- Stocking and inventory: Restock supplies such as coffee beans, milk, cups, and pastries as needed.
Key skills and qualifications
- Hospitality: Strong communication, friendliness, and the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Technical skills: Ability to operate coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines. Must be proficient in coffee art design.
