Job Description

The Coordinator/Talent Acquisition is responsible for full-cycle recruitment activities and for coordinating key HR programs/initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness. This role manages job postings/advertisements, engages with hiring managers and job candidates, and contributes to a positive candidate experience. Additionally, this role maintains job descriptions and supports other HR projects and initiatives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Partner with hiring managers to post and advertise all non-exempt and exempt positions that are approved.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational needs, in collaboration with operational leaders and the Executive Director/Human Resources.
  • Assist hiring managers with developing and launching internal search committees.
  • Source passive and active talent using Indeed, LinkedIn, and other job job boards.
  • Evaluate candidate applications and appropriately disposition job candidates; manage all job postings in the College’s Applicant Tracking System ( ATS ).
  • Partner with hiring managers and search committees to support recruitment efforts that ensure an efficient, equitable, and positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews.
  • Conduct professional reference checks on final candidates.
  • Provide employment offer recommendations and justification to Executive Director/Human Resources for full-time administrative and faculty positions.
  • Extend employment offers to final candidates that are in alignment with the college’s established compensation practices and pay rate/salary schedules in the collective bargaining agreements.
  • Partner with external executive search firms and staffing agencies for unique staffing needs.
  • Assist with the expansion of recruitment strategies including job fair participation and outreach initiatives.
  • Pull reports/data from the College’s Applicant Tracking System ( ATS ).
  • Establish efficient process for adjunct faculty recruitment in partnership with academic deans.
  • Administer annual mandatory training program to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with performance management and performance evaluation process.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives related to talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, and compliance.
  • Assist operational leaders and employees with employment policy awareness and/or interpretation as needed.
  • Perform other routine HR tasks including, but not limited to, new hire orientation, employee recognition programs, performance and talent management, workforce safety, and training and development.
  • Maintain accurate position and employee data in College’s ERP system.
  • Develop and analyze human resources-related data and reports.
  • Lead or assist with special project assignments, request for proposals, communications, events, and activities related to College-wide initiatives as identified in the strategic plan.
  • Review, develop, and establish procedures to streamline internal human resources processes.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with College policies and procedures; adhere to bargaining unit agreements as applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or closely related field required
  • 3-5 years of related work experience including at least 2 years of full-cycle talent acquisition/recruitment experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws and labor relations required
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems ( HRIS ) and Applicant Tracking Systems ( ATS ) required

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation, and benefits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships.
  • Demonstrated skill in planning, writing, organizing, drafting, and editing written documents.
  • Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of technical principles, theories and concepts in field of specialization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and complex issues consistently, confidentially and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and manage multiple tasks in a constantly changing work environment while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently make decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse population.
  • Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a union environment/with collective bargaining agreements preferred
  • Professional HR certification preferred ( SHRM or HRCI )
  • Industry recognized talent acquisition credential or certification preferred

Salary $58,860 (minimum)
