Major Accountabilities/Essential Job Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by use of sand paper, scrapers, wire brushes and steel wool
- Prepare work areas; paint all interior and interior surfaces
- Prepare work areas; paint all interior and interior surfaces
- Prepare work areas; paint all interior and interior surfaces
- Responsible for cleaning all equipment and work areas upon completion
- Responsible for quality check of all project areas upon completion
- Additional duties as assigned
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
Physical Requirements
- Extensive periods of physical activity
- Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance, 26 pounds with manual or mechanical assistance
- Ability to push/pull up to 25 pounds unassisted
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Ability to work in adverse conditions
- Ability to communicate effectively; to collaborate with team members and other departments
- Ability to read work assignments and to communicate with residents/staff through verbal and written instructions
- Ability to visibly match paint colors
- Knowledge of painting procedures and skill in execution
- Knowledge in repairing wall surfaces in preparation for painting and skill in execution
- OSHA Certification
- Valid Driver’s License in the State of Virginia with a minimum age 21 to drive for the organization
- Offers of employment are conditioned on applicants meeting requirements of a pre-employment drug screening and background check
