The Hospice House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior physical environment of the hospice house. This role ensures a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal, while managing the logistical flow of supplies. As a key member of the support team, you will provide exceptional customer service by ensuring the facility remains a welcoming and fully operational home for patients, families, and staff.

As a key member of the support team, you will provide exceptional customer service by ensuring the facility remains a welcoming and fully operational home for patients, families, and staff.
What You’ll Do In This Role
- Perform minor building repairs and report major issues to the IPU Administrator.
- Maintain the exterior appearance including debris removal, sidewalk safety, and basic care of entryways and garden areas.
- Monitor equipment and systems, ensuring all tools are in safe working condition.
- Execute daily cleaning protocols for patient rooms, common areas, and offices to healthcare standards.
- Disinfect bathrooms and high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of infection.
- Manage all laundry, including the collection, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens and patient clothing.
- Adhere to safety procedures for waste disposal and recycling.
- Monitor and restock essential supplies across the house.
- Coordinate the receipt and storage of deliveries; ensure all supply areas are organized and items are correctly dated/stored.
- Assist with meal logistics, including picking up/delivering meals from vendors and ensuring food safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to address specific patient/family requests regarding their environment.
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and resident confidentiality at all times.

The Experience You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year experience in hospitality, laundry, or housekeeping.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation principles, and infection control practices applicable to healthcare environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Flu-Vaccinated
- An active CNA License
- ServSafe certification.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.

- Compensation Range: $16.40- $19.28 / Hourly (based on relevant experience)
