Guest Room Supervisor

Are you an experienced housekeeping leader ready to take ownership of an entire department? We’re looking for a Guest Room Supervisor who can combine hands-on hospitality expertise with strong leadership, operational strategy, and financial management to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
As Guest Room Supervisor, you’ll oversee all aspects of housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, laundry, public spaces, staffing, training, inventory, budgeting, vendor relationships, and departmental planning. You’ll serve as a key member of the property leadership team, identifying opportunities to strengthen operations while developing a high-performing housekeeping team.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all aspects of the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, laundry, public spaces, staffing, scheduling, inventory, and daily operations
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop housekeeping associates to build a knowledgeable and dependable team
• Develop and implement training programs that strengthen associate performance and ensure compliance with brand, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Establish departmental goals, priorities, procedures, and performance expectations
• Manage housekeeping budgets, monitor expenses, control costs, and optimize the use of labor, supplies, linens, and other resources
• Analyze housekeeping processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction
• Plan staffing levels and schedules based on occupancy, business forecasts, operational demands, and departmental budgets
• Maintain relationships with vendors and coordinate the procurement of housekeeping supplies, linens, amenities, chemicals, and equipment
• Ensure guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet company and brand cleanliness and presentation standards
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, health requirements, safety procedures, chemical-handling standards, and proper PPE practices
• Lead by example and provide hands-on operational support when necessary to ensure the success of the department

What Makes You Successful

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5 years of relevant housekeeping experience preferred
• 5 years of housekeeping supervisory experience preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of housekeeping management principles, procedures, cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and industry best practices
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a housekeeping team
• Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resources
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage staffing, schedules, inventory, budgets, and multiple operational priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with associates, guests, vendors, and property leadership
• Strong understanding of health, safety, cleanliness, and regulatory requirements
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as necessary

Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent walking and standing throughout the property, along with regular bending, stooping, reaching, sitting, and standing. The Guest Room Supervisor must also be able to use proper body mechanics and lifting techniques to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
