2nd shift Production Lead

Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-2am.

Work 36 hours, get paid for 40.

$21.00/hour plus $1.00 shift differential.

Hayes Manufacturing is looking for a 2^nd shift Production Team Lead at our Fife Lake, MI location. The Team Lead (TL) is responsible for overseeing the production process for a set of products or an assigned work area and can perform all the required functions within the assigned area(s). The TL plans, organizes, recommends improvements, problem-solves floor concerns, and provides training where needed to ensure the product is developed successfully in accordance to all company and customer specifications. The TL provides guidance to work teams on various shifts within production or fabricating operations, or assigned work area.

What You’ll Do:

·         Ensure compliance with company and safety policies and procedures.

·         Oversee product workflow within assigned area(s).

·         Ensure all necessary documentation and resources are available to assist workers with their daily tasks.

·         Recommend operational or process changes where needed for product or process workflow improvement.

·         Assess risks on the production floor and communicate with appropriate departments.

·         Resolve production problems while utilizing all available resources.

·         Give and receive employee feedback on the floor through open communication.

·         Responsible for team facilitation ensuring team understands the production goals for their shift.

·         Train employees, ensuring they are equipped to perform their requiredtasks.

·         Communicate with and update Production/Operations/Area Manager on floor activity and seek guidance where necessary.

What You’ll Need:

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         3 years advanced knowledge in the areas of production or shipping & receiving.

·         Technical certifications a plus.

·         Good computer skills and understanding of Manufacturing Operating Systems/ERP systems.

·         Mechanical aptitude in the jobs this role leads.

·         Ethical conduct.

·         Verbal and written communication proficiency

·         Ability to understand and communicate written policies and procedures affecting the production floor

·         Initiative. Results-driven attitude.

·         Strong leadership or mentoring skills.

·         Ability to perform hands-on work while providing guidance for production team.
