Western Building Center: Accounts Payable
Position Summary: This accounts payable position involves managing our companys financial transactions related to vendor payments and expenses. This person would be helping in sharing the responsibility of providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization. Accounts payable reports directly to the C.E.O. of WBC.
Position Expectations:
Check emails daily and forward and print the appropriate emails.
Receive invoices and then forward them to the appropriate manager.
Making payments to suppliers and other creditors, and paying vendor invoices or bills.
Maintaining and helping to improve all vendor relationships.
Keeping accurate records, such as an accounts payable ledger, and recording the companys short-term debts.
Managing all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.
Analyzing workflow processes.
Verify that expenses turned in from employees are correct. If any discrepancies arise, then bring those to the attention of the C.E.O.
Enter invoices into our accounting system for the controller to review monthly.
Statement balancing and payment verification.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Fast and accurate data entry skills.
Strong organizational skills: Accounts payable associates are responsible for overseeing and organizing the flow of money in and out of our company.
Must be able to multitask and manage your time efficiently.
Solid communication skills: Written, verbal, and interpersonal.
Proficient computer skills: Google Docs, Microsoft, and various other programs that we use within our organization.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
