CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER-WV PUBLIC BROADCASTING-KANAWHA CO.
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
West Virginia Public Broadcasting is looking for individuals to fill the full-time position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO is responsible for the administration, oversight, and financial management of all operations of West Virginia Public Broadcasting including but not limited to budgeting, reporting, and compliance. They will lead the business office team operations in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and ensure strong financial controls. The CFO will work with the nonprofits that support West Virginia Public Broadcasting by providing financial information and reports to the affiliated boards. The CFO will oversee and be responsible for the external audit.
This job opportunity is not a Civil Service position and is not covered under the Administrative Rule of the WV Division of Personnel. The state of West Virginia offers competitive benefits. Remote work is not permitted. Limited travel is required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or another relevant field
Five years’ experience in accounting, business administration or management with a focus on organizational leadership and budget oversight
Work experience in state government and/or the nonprofit sector
Knowledge and interest in public broadcasting
Preferred education and experience
- Master’s degree, or related experience.
WVOASIS experience
- Previous experience in accounting and finance.
Salary : $75,000
