What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Kitchen Staff position at West Shore School District?
We have several 4-5.5 hour per day school year positions available. We are also looking for substitutes as well.
Responsibilities and Duties
Successful food service candidates will learn the following job functions: Assist in meal preparation including, but not limited to, the use of commercial ovens, slicers, food choppers, and can openers. Assist in the serving of meals, cleaning of all food service areas, assists in handling foods and supplies, stands for long periods of time, and performs such other tasks and responsibilities necessary for the operation of the kitchen. Must be able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should have at least high school diploma. Prior experience in institutional food service helpful. On the job training is provided.
