Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, including patient flow, scheduling, and staff coordination to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing, coding, and revenue cycle processes using EMR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Supervise healthcare staff including medical assistants, nurses, administrative personnel, and support team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and health policy policies by implementing appropriate procedures and training
- Maintain accurate medical records and electronic health records (EHR) management to ensure data integrity and confidentiality
- Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to support medical management activities including utilization management and acute care processes
- Implement patient management software solutions to streamline appointment scheduling, patient communication, and administrative workflows
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice administration with a strong understanding of clinic operations
- Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, billing, coding (Medical billing), and revenue cycle management
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or similar platforms; experience with electronic health records management is essential
- Strong supervisory skills with experience managing healthcare teams; excellent managerial communication skills are vital for team leadership
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, managed care policies, and health regulation policies
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records handling, and medical administrative support functions
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes; familiarity with patient management software is preferred
- Critical care or hospital experience is advantageous; understanding of acute care processes enhances effectiveness in this role
- Experience in human resources functions such as staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations and conflict resolution
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
